Investigation under way in fast-food robbery |

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer An investigation is now under way to capture a group of men who robbed a fast-food outlet in St Catherine yesterday. The incident took place at the Juici Patties outlet in Bog Walk, St Catherine. Reports from the Bog Walk police are that about 5:30 a.m., staff were about to start the first shift. As the door was opened and they were about to enter the building, they were held up by three men armed with machete and guns. The men took them to a storeroom where several blows were rained on the employees. They were tied up with duct tape and shoe laces. The establishment was then robbed of Wednesday's sale. When The weekend Star visited the location police scenes of crime personnel were still processing the area. The police confirmed money was taken but did not say how much or what else. It was revealed to The weekend Star that the guard who works at the outlet is unarmed. |
