United States-based dancehall artiste Black Mattic will remix his hit single, 'Superstar', in honour of track & field legend Usain Bolt.

Bolt, the Jamaican sprint king, ran supreme at the recently concluded 2012 London Olympics as he walked away with gold medals in the 100 and 200 meters, as well as anchoring the Jamaican men's 4x100 relay team to another world record run.

Superstar, which was released in April and produced by an American label, Yo Dash Productions, has been a hit in several countries including the US, France, China, Germany, Albania and the Caribbean.

The 24-year-old former Norman Manley High School student is said to be a huge fan of the world's greatest-ever sprinter and, therefore, found it fitting to remix Superstar in his honour.

"At the moment, Bolt is Jamaica's biggest asset. No doubt! And I am saying this with full knowledge of the other areas the country is benefiting from such as tourism, music and agriculture," said the artiste in a release.

He added that he believes Bolt's exploits at the London games has further strengthened Jamaica's image on the world map.

"He has done a lot for Jamaica in just four years, dating back from Beijing. Jamaica has become even more popular because of this," he said.

The remix will be composed and mixed by renowned music engineers Tom Gardener and Tony Gillis from the Cutting Room studios. There is also dialogue with a local label to have another remix, with the intent to bring a more 'yard vibe' to it.

"We want to show the world how much Usain Bolt is a superstar. He's beyond superlatives and who knows what he will do at the next Olympics in Brazil. I am definitely anxious," he said.
