An accident involving a police vehicle has left two women in hospital nursing serious injuries.

Information reaching THE STAR is that the incident occurred along Penwood Road in Kingston yesterday.

The injured women have been identified as 52-year-old Rosemarie Williams and Ann-Marie Newman, 48.

According to reports, Williams, a vendor, was at her stall with Newman when they were struck by the police vehicle.

THE STAR has learnt that both women were taken to the hospital where they were admitted.
