A 17-year-old boy who has been charged with the murder of a farmer in St Elizabeth earlier this month is to appear in the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court today Monday, July 23.

The St Elizabeth police on Friday charged the teen with the death of 49-year-old Holden Riggs who was stabbed and chopped to death.

Reports are that Riggs was found on July 7 in a hut on his farm by persons who had gone in search of him, after he was reported missing.

Following police investigations the teen was arrested.
