The Spanish Town police in St Catherine seized a firearm in the old capital on Saturday afternoon. No one was arrested in connection with the find.

Reports from the Spanish Town police are that about 2:55 p.m., police were responding to reports of explosions in the Feather Bed Lane area when they went to an abandoned house.

A subsequent search of the house and its surroundings revealed one .38 revolver.

The Spanish Town police continue to investigate.
