Owners asked to claim vehicles seized during police operation

The police are asking the owners of several motor vehicles which were seized during an operation carried out by the Lottery Scam Task Force to visit the Montego Bay office to claim them.

The cops are seeking to determine if the high-end vehicles, which include a Lexus and an Audi, were obtained through criminal activity.

Registered owners are being asked to visit its office at 9 Sewell Avenue in Montego Bay with documentation to prove they are the owners of the vehicles.

They are also being asked to provide documentation to show they have the ability to purchase and maintain the vehicles which they are claiming.

The Lottery Scam Task Force said unclaimed vehicles will be treated as abandoned.

On April 1 of this year, the police raided the premises of alleged lottery scammers in Hanover and seized a number of vehicles.

A month earlier, 16 vehicles were also seized in St James as part of the crackdown on the scam.
