The three soldiers who have been linked to the shooting death of businessman Keith Clarke are now in confinement. Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Paula Llewellyn, ruled on Tuesday that Lance Corporals Greg Tingling and Odel Buckley along with Private Arnold Henry be charged for the death of the businessman at his house in Kirkland Heights, St Andrew, in May 2010. At Wednesday's Jamaica House media briefing, Deputy Chief of Defence Staff Brigadier Rocky Meade said the Jamaica Defence Force has been complying with all the requests of the DPP. He added that the army will be seeking legal representation for the three soldiers. Clarke was shot dead during the manhunt for Tivoli Gardens strongman Christopher Dudus Coke. It is reported that members of the military went to Clarke's residence after receiving intelligence that Coke was in the area. Clarke's home was shot up and he was killed when members of the military entered the premises in search of the fugitive. |
