Konshens - Contributed The first half of 2012 has proven to be a progressive and productive one for dancehall star Konshens. The high-riding deejay has scored back-to-back hits not only on the Jamaican airwaves, but across the Caribbean, the United States, and in Europe. Songs including Do Sumn, Gal a Bubble, and Stop Sign have dented the number-one spot on every major music chart. Konshens' success over the past six months can be attributed to his work ethic as well as the professionalism of his management team, which comprises Miguel 'Kitten' Noble and Aranthes Lewin. The team has been able to break barriers in the promotion and marketing of Konshens' recently released album, Mental Maintenance. The promotion of Mental Maintenance kicked off with a promo run through the New York tri-state area in late January to early February. Konshens has increased his presence at all social media platforms and the proliferation of videos for songs including A So Mi Tan, Gal a Bubble, Stop Sign, and his latest Lord's Prayer, has featuring Richie Stephens, has aided in maintaining his visibility with fans and music lovers alike. The deejay has been in hot demand in recent months, having performed at a number of events in Jamaica, the Caribbean, and Europe. Regionally, he has shows lined up for Antigua, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, St Croix, Barbados, Guyana, Martinique, Panama, and Guadeloupe. He then heads to the US and the UK for a number of shows before embarking on a European tour in October. Fans just can't seem to get enough of the talented artiste and his music! The demand for his work has reached fever pitch, and as a result, Konshens gave in to the demands of his fans with the release of not one, but two mix tapes, Street Code and Gal kin ketch a Fyah. Both have been well received. The dedication to his art is proven in the young star's work ethic, and shown by his output and results. For the second half of the year, Konshens promises "More work, more music, more fun, 'subkonshus' music." |
