Detectives from the Major Investigation Task Force have charged a 38-year-old man in connection with the shooting death of the operations manager of Sparkles Production.

Dead is 39-year-old Shango Jackson.

The accused, Huey Marvin Gowdie, has been charged with murder and illegal possession of firearm.

Jackson was shot dead on July 12, at his Beverly Hills home during a dispute.

THE STAR understands that Gowdie is scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on July 25.
