A woman accused of fraud was remanded when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court Friday. Charged with obtaining money by false pretence is Sasha Small Grant from a Corporate Area address. Grant pleaded not guilty to the charge and advised the court she had a lawyer, though the attorney was not present. The court was told that Grant collected approximately $400,000 from people who she allegedly told she could get work for on a programme in Canada. RM Lorna Shelly Williams ordered that the accused be remanded until the matter is again mentioned on July 11. Grant was told by RM Williams that at her next court appearance, she could apply for bail through her legal
representative. |
