Cops seek public's assistance |

|
Detectives at the Half-Way Tree Criminal Investigation Branch are now seeking the public's assistance in ascertaining the identity of a man who was stabbed to death in Half- Way Tree, St Andrew, on Sunday morning. The man, believed to be in his 40s, is of dark complexion and medium build, and was clad in a brown shirt, a pair of blue jeans, and brown Timberland shoes. Reports are that about 4:50 a.m., passers-by saw the man lying in blood on the roadway and summoned the police. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Investigators are now asking anyone who might be able to assist them in identifying the body, or who might have any information that could assist them with their investigations, to contact them at 926-2551, the Police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
