Petroleum truck overturns |

This petrol tanker driven by Junor Graham overturned along Port Royal Street in Kingston late yesterday evening sending hundreds of gallons of petrol on to the road. The driver was not seriously hurt. - Norman Grindley A Cool Petroleum truck carrying about 28,000 litres of unleaded gasolene overturned along Port Royal Street in downtown Kingston yesterday. Up to press time last night, THE STAR understands that several fire units were on the scene making attempts to stop the oil from reaching the Kingston Harbour. It is reported that the truck overturned when the driver attempted to negotiate a corner. The truck driver has suffered minor injuries in the incident. THE STAR understands that fire-fighters had to use sand as a barricade to prevent the oil from leaking into the harbour. |
