|
The teenager who has been accused of murdering his stepfather in St Elizabeth last Friday was remanded into custody when he appeared before the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. He is 17-year-old Rohan Cuffe from Leeds District in the parish. The matter is scheduled to return to court on July 20. Allegations are that on the day in question Cuffe used a machete to chop Cyril Kessley several times. He died on the spot. Attorney-at-Law Yushaine Morgan who is representing Cuff asked the court to have him undergo psychiatric evaluation. Cuffe, however, protested and said "Mam mi nuh mad enuh". Subsequently, Resident Magistrate Sonya Wint Blair ordered that the teen sees a psychiatrist. |
