Four Jamaicans were among eight persons arrested in Trinidad and Tobago following a raid by the police on Tuesday.

Information reaching THE STAR is that the raids began around 3 a.m.

According to a report in the Guardian, a party of officers went to Jackson Street, Cunupia, where they held the Jamaicans and a Guyanese woman.

Police said the foreigners were all living in an apartment building and had been working in the country for several months.

The Jamaicans are expected to appear before a Chaguanas magistrate.
