Police report increase in theft from cars |

|
Members of the public are being advised to desist from leaving large amounts of cash, jewellery, laptops and the other valuable electronic appliances in their vehicles. The police say, licensed firearm holders are also being advised to desist from leaving their firearms in their vehicles when they visit beaches, supermarkets, shopping malls or other places to transact business. It is reported that in recent times, there has been an increase in the number of motor vehicles that have been broken into. The public is being advised to make alternative arrangements to safeguard their property and licensed firearm holders are being reminded to make arrangements with their local police to have their weapons safeguarded where necessary. |
