Man taping court session charged |

![]() Rasbert Turner, Star Writer A 28-year-old man is to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court after he was caught by the police taping court proceedings. Charged with breaching the Criminal Justice Administration Act is Kereem Gordon, labourer of Tivoli Court, Kingston. The incident occurred about 2:00 p.m. on Friday while court was in session. Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey was hearing an assault case involving two men, including a juvenile. Gordon was allegedly observed by the police recording the session with a Blackberry Smartphone. The phone was confiscated by the police and the content viewed. Gordon was subsequently charged by Detective Corporal Kirk Roache with breach of the Criminal Justice Administration Act. It is a criminal act to record court proceedings or to take the pictures of prisoners in the precinct of a court house. |
