FAMILY MEMBER DAMAGES DEEJAY'S HOUSE - Said to have destroyed furniture and other items

A family member of a popular deejay is said to have 'gone insane' and allegedly destroyed several items including a 50-inch plasma TV and a bedroom set inside his uptown residence yesterday.

Information reaching THE STAR is that the man believed to be in his 40s was deported to the island a few months ago.

A source explained that, "The man mash up the things dem ina the house, bruk the chef nose and all sail a chair affa ..."

It is understood that following the attacks he locked himself inside a room and threatened to kill himself.

When THE STAR's investigative team visited the scene about 7:30 a.m., several person's including police officers were seen lingering on the outside.

The deejay and his girlfriend were also seen sitting outside.

Efforts to reach the entertainer for a comment proved futile.

It is understood that other family members are currently overseas.

A source at the Constant Spring Police Station confirmed the incident, however, the officer could not confirm if an official report was made against the person or if anyone was arrested.

"Oh yes, I heard of it ... when I got in this morning I heard a group of officers speaking about it claiming that such and such went down round at the house, and they went there to quell things," said the source.
