No-Maddz on board with Digicel to 'run it' for sumfest

Digicel has once again stamped its mark as an avid supporter of Jamaican music and culture this year by partnering with the unique and iconic group, No-Maddz, who will lead the telecommunications company's Reggae Sumfest 'Run It' campaign.

This year marks 12 consecutive years that Digicel has partnered with the organisers of the 'greatest reggae show on earth' which continues to combine top international acts with some of Jamaica's most loved and talented artistes to treat patrons to a weeklong mega music festival in Catherine Hall, Montego Bay.

Christopher 'Birdheye' Gordon from No-Maddz said, "We feel honoured and blessed to be a part of such exclusive and unique campaign for Digicel. 'Run It' is a perfect fit at this time, as Jamaicans far and wide are anticipating the Jamaican athletic contingent to 'Run it' and win big at the London Olympics this summer. No-Maddz is looking forward to great things with Digicel this summer."

Tahnida Nunes, sponsorship manager at Digicel, is excited about the partnership with the dub poetry group. "As a brand that has become known for always delivering extraordinary experiences for our customers, we're very happy to be coming together with this one-of-a-kind dub poetry group for Reggae Sumfest. With Jamaica celebrating 50 years of amazing growth and achievements locally and internationally, our campaign theme sends a very powerful message that although we're a small island, wherever we go in the world, we 'Run It'!

Digicel customers can expect loads of exciting treats, activities and surprises, both in the lead-up to Reggae Sumfest and right throughout the exhilarating five-night extravaganza.

"It's heating up to be a great summer for Digicel and our customers. Having just launched Jamaica's biggest and best 4G mobile network, customers can look forward to surfing, streaming and sharing with Digicel at Reggae Sumfest and, of course, winning amazing prizes," Nunes continues.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, as Jamaica's premier music festival, the excitement is building for Reggae Sumfest - particularly after the announcement of one of 'soul music's favourites', R Kelly, and one of 'dancehall's greatest', Shabba Ranks, both set to blaze the stage in Catherine Hall come July 15-21.
