Specialist gets US work permit - Gearing up for first Reggae Sumfest performance |

Specialist Fast-rising artiste Specialist says he is now on his way to greatness. The artiste, who became popular as a contestant on the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall show, recently received his one-year work permit for the United States and has already been booked for shows there. "Trust me, this is my first time travelling and is a great feeling. From Magnum Kings and Queens days mi a push up and mi career a take time grow. Mi a wait pon it a long time, so it's a joy. Me feel good," Specialist told THE STAR. Specialist will be embarking on some promotional shows, and will make stops in Albany on July 27 and Boston on July 28. According to the deejay, fans all over the world have been sending him requests via facebook and twitter to perform in their city. "Whole heap a people a link up, dem dying fi see me perform. Me just a go do mi best. From Magnum days me a good performer, but now mi a improve. Mi ting step up, mi career a grow," Specialist said. Yet another first for the artiste is his upcoming performance on Reggae Sumfest's big stage. "Mi a perform dancehall night, and I always want to do my best and make sure my fans are pleased. Moonie a design mi, so mi know him a go design something hot fi me step out a Sumfest inna," he said. |
