Popular summer party Smudge, hosted by TJ Records, was reinvented to give patrons more value for their money.

The party, which normally delivers a variety of music and inclusive liquor, added a new element in the most recent staging by incorporating live performances.

The STAR arrived at 8 p.m., flanked by traffic and a sea of patrons who were eager to get inside the Police Officers Club.

ZJ Chrome was playing and delivered soca songs such as Wotless by Kes The Band and Tempted To Touch by Rupee.

Patrons loved the vibe and could be seen dancing and forming a soca train to parade the venue. The vibe was obviously present and was further heightened when the DJ played Go Down by Lil' Rick.

The venue was outfitted with three bars, two offering inclusive mix liquor and the other selling extravagant beverages such as the premium Hennessy, Nuvo, Dom Pérignon and Rose Moët.

At 8:20 p.m., it was time to get the patrons partying like rock stars and the DJ achieved that goal by playing Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO and Chris Brown's Turn Up The Music.

"All girls wey know sey dem arm nuh full a hair like Rick Ross face unno push up unno hand," the DJ belted. The females screamed and obeyed.

ZJ Liquid took over at 9, playing Hustlin by Rick Ross. He also went for more sexually seductive songs such as Body To Body, which had couples and dance partners rocking closely on the dancefloor.

"Wey di gyal dem wey want some good love," ZJ Liquid said, and played Lil' Wayne's How To Love.

At 10 p.m., it was show time and an energetic I-Octane took the main stage, and performed popular songs from his catalogue such as Love Di Vibes, L.O.V.E .Y.O.U and Burn Dem Bridge.

Tommy Lee later had the audience eating from the palm of his hands at only his intro, and received a huge reception for his current hit, Some Bwoy.

"All a who know sey world boss fi free sey world boss," he said and went on to sing Psycho, a song which was also well received.

Local celebrities who turned out at Smudge included Voicemail, Versatile, Ward 21, Mr. G, Big Ship crew and Jermaine Michael, among others.
