CURTIS CAMPBELL, STAR Writer Deep Jahi is already celebrating an international debut, this after his break out single Punching Bag was featured on International Radio Station BBC 1xtra. News broke last month that the sinjay had signed a recording contract with Serani and Julian Jones-Griffith's Rockstone Media Group and already the artiste is seeing musical progression. The artiste who was crowned the Magnum King of Dancehall 2012, expressed joy at his recent career development. "It's a stupendous feeling it just shows that the music is breaking barriers and creating a fanbase outside Jamaica and that is my aim so it's a great feeling because more ears can get familiar with my music," he said. "The management team Rockstone Media with Julian and Serani, they are working to get the music going so I am definitely making progress where music is concerned," the artiste said. Deep Jahi also expressed shock at the attention that the song has received since its premiere on national television. "I am surprised that Punching Bag has people gravitating to it so much and so fast, I know it was a good song but I didn't imagine that it would be so fast. I performed it at Contenders and the people sang it line by line," he said. The artiste disclosed that Rockstone Media was focused on promoting Punching Bag as the debut single and that his other single Life Goes On would follow accompanied by a music video. Deep Jahi is also expected to be featured on rhythm compilations produced by Cash Flow Records, DJ Frass and Rockstone Media.
