IT was smooth sailing for the top three in the men's 100 metres in the quarter-final on the opening day of the JAAA Supreme Ventures Limited National Trials as Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake and Asafa Powell cruised to today's semi-final, which is scheduled for 7:25 p.m.

Taking the track in the first quarter-final, the defending Olympic champion and world leader Bolt was very easy, as he won in 10.06 seconds, with MVP's Jacques Harvey second in 10.15 seconds.

In the following heat, it was the world champion Blake, who posted the fastest time of the round, as he was pressed by his teammate Kemar Bailey-Cole who clocked (10.12) and former national champion Oshane Bailey 10.26 seconds.
