Joe GrinD was really Jesus - Man attacks spouse after text |
|||||
The Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court erupted in laughter on Wednesday when a case involving a couple in a domestic dispute was called up. The court heard that a man assaulted his woman resulting in her getting six stitches to her arm, all because she got a religious text telling her she needs to have another man in her life ... that other man turned out to be Jesus. The accused man, Markland McCaulsky, pleaded guilty, and was fined $10,000 or six months' imprisonment on a charge of assault. The court heard that on the day of the incident, the complainant, who is McCaulsky's girlfriend, received a religious chain text from a man. The text suggested to the woman that she should welcome another man into her life. This other man the text noted was Jesus Christ. The court heard that McCaulsky began reading the text but did not read it fully, and as soon as he saw the part about the "other man in your life" he got enraged. It was revealed that he flew into a rage and during an altercation, the woman was cut with a chopper on the back on her hand. When the court learnt that the rest of the text revealed Jesus to be the supposed "bunna" man, laughter filled the air of the courtroom. |
