Kelvin Dixon, the man who mesmerised the audience inside the old Mas Camp at the 2008 Tastee Talent Trail Grand Finals, has landed the coveted job of lead singer to the internationally acclaimed Inner Circle band.

Based in Miami, the Grammy-winning Inner Circle band was all the rage in the '90s when its Bad Boy single not only topped charts across the world, but became the theme song for a hit TV series as well as a top box-office movie series which starred Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

Kelvin, who sang his way to the Tastee title via a medley including Shaggy's Boombastic and Marvin Gaye's Let's Get it On, officially joined the group on May 19, 2012, and will head on tour early in July to Italy. He will still pursue his local career as Khelo and, according to him, will be focusing on the ladies as they listen to and buy music.

His latest single Do 4 U, which was released a couple months ago, has been enjoying good rotation and he plans to do a video for that song on his return from Europe.

Kelvin and Inner Circle depart Miami on July 4, returning to the US, on July 17, after performing in Italy, Austria and The Netherlands. After roughly a month in the US, the band then plays at St Barths on August 17, before wrapping up a New York gig on August 19.

A gifted singer and talented songwriter, Kelvin has been honing his skills on the north coast since winning the Tastee Talent Trail four years ago. He has high praise for the contest which gave him exposure and brought him to national attention.
