K-Anthony - Giving 'Something Outta Nuttin' |
|||||
K-Anthony - contributed Kevin Anthony Fowler is a gospel artiste who goes by the stage name K-Anthony. His style of music is a fusion of contemporary gospel; a form which he believes is suited to the current issues which he wishes to address. Although gospel music must transcend problems and situations, it must at the same time be relevant and sympathetic with what the people are going through. In K-Anthony songs, you get the feeling he is speaking directly to you as a person, whether you are struggling with sin or struggling to survive financially. He has been around music several years now, having started from an ambitious dream in university to pursue music. Being a music major probably made the transition a little smooth, but not much easier, as he has come to recognise that the industry is a tough one. He has learned that it takes more than a talent to survive or thrive in the music business. One of the things one must have is a firm sense of purpose and where he wants to go and what it will require to get there. K-Anthony is certain that music is God's calling for his life and is now pursuing it in earnest to get the message out. "To date, I have recorded numerous singles including Something Outta Nuttin, which I think people will like very much, since it's speaking directly about the current recession," the singer revealed. "It is presently available on iTunes for purchase. It is has also received rotation on local radio. I mean if you are finding it hard just to survive, if you have bills meeting bill, if you are without a job, etc., this song is for you." K-Anthony is in the processes of collaborating with an overseas gospel artiste. "In terms of recording, I'm currently doing some work with Atlanta-based gospel rap artiste Credo Clay for his upcoming album," he said. "I would like to be recognised as one of the giants of gospel music. I believe that success is achieved when your purpose is materialised." |
