Up to press time last night, the burnt body found in a canefield on the outskirts of Montego Bay, St James, could not have been positively identified as that of missing Trinidadian teacher Michelle Coudray-Greaves.

THE STAR understands that the discovered body was found burnt beyond recognition. It is reported, however, that dental braces and bracelet believed to be those worn by Coudray-Greaves were found on the body.

Coudray-Greaves was reported missing on June 2 by friends at Cornwall College.

She reportedly lived at Cornwall Courts in the parish and recently completed a temporary teaching employment at Cornwall College.

The 39-year-old mother of three is the daughter of the mayor of San Fernando in Trinidad, Marlene Coudray, who arrived in the island yesterday to assist with the search for her daughter.

According to the St James police, Coudray-Greaves was spotted on Friday about 1:30 p.m. on St James Street dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a long-sleeved blouse.

"Well yes, we have been asked to locate her ... we have been in touch with a few persons claiming to know her, and the investigation is in action," a police told THE STAR.

Anyone with information about Coudray-Greaves' disappearance is being asked to contact the Freeport police at 684-9080 or the nearest police station.
