It is often said that God will never destroy a city without a warning. Well, Prophet O'Meal Reid, the senior pastor and founder of People from Every Nations Ministries at Kissimmee, Florida, in the United States of America, who was featured on May 19 in Behind the Pulpit is warning Jamaica and Jamaicans of floods and earthquake to come.

Reid told THE STAR that he received word from God on July 8, 2011 at exactly 3 a.m., while in his hotel room in the Island, that there is a cry in the spirit for Jamaica.

"There is a cry in the spirit for the Island of Jamaica. God said, 'My people have turned from her Glory, idols are being exalted. The preachers are not preaching the word of God, instead they are preaching man's by-laws, arguing and fighting over the length of their dress, the style of their hair; and whether or not they should wear make-up and jewellery while missing the power of God," said the prophet.

He said God told him that His word must be preached again because the power has left the church. He went on to explain that God said people are stuck in self-religion and have no relationship with Him, while innocent blood is crying out from the earth.

Reid stressed that God told him that there is no love in the church, in general; and that the young people of the land are dying, being taken advantage of and are being violated in too many ways.

"I am travailing for Jamaica and I need apostles, pastors, youth leaders and all people of God to join me, because I see earthquakes and floods for the land," said Prophet Reid.

The church leader lamented that people need to pray for God's mercy, to ensure that revival comes to the land.

He is warning that Jamaica must stop operating in the spirit of religiosity and traditionalism; and that Jamaicans must be careful not to reject God's mouthpiece, because of their age, agenda or stature, but respond by the way God moves through them.

Reid said he visited Jamaica in April this year to host an evangelist's album launch and, on that occasion, his spirit was tugged by the Holy Spirit who reminded him about the utterance he received in 2011 and he knew it was the time to act now.

Quoting the biblical passage saying it's a nation's cry, Reid used Nehemiah 2:17, which reads:

"Then said I unto them, ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach."

He noted that persons like him, and other persons who are representatives of God, have a duty to intercede on behalf of Jamaica.

Prophet Reid said he identifies with the symbolism of the Jubilee celebrations for Jamaica's 50th anniversary of independence, but believes also that it is high time for the people in zion to make a radical pour out in the spirit through great intercession and travailing for this great nation.

"Indeed, this will chart the course for the next 50 years and beyond for the generations to come. Corrections need to be made where the spiritual walls have been breached; and against this background, I am seeking support from church leaders to make another impact on the spiritual architecture of Jamaica land we love," said Prophet Reid.

As a start towards correcting the breach committed by the people of God in Jamaica, Reid said he has been led to host a 'Worshipping Warriors Intercessors Kingdom Summit' in Kingston, through a series of nightly gathering of the ecclesia, from August 1 to 4.

"I am soliciting support in doing this work for the Jerusalem represented in Jamaica.

I am appealing for help with this intervention for true spiritual emancipation to be birthed in the nation (Israel) of Jamaica. This is essential for Jamaica to be revived and energised to bolt forward in liberty of soul, mind and spirit, as it is the will of our Father in heaven," said the young prophet.
