File - Khago

Khago has a new diss track attacking Assassin called Try Look Hot.

It is a direct response to Assassin's popular Freaky Dread Dead single that hit FM radio like a gale storm last week.

On the single, Khago takes potshots at Assassin's name saying that it has two "ass inna it and it end inna sin", and inferring that Assassin's alter ego, Agent Sasco, is an informer.

"Right now, mi offa mute. mi ah step pon Fishco like a roach," Khago said.

Khago also expressed disappointment that Assassin mentioned Khago's late father in such a deragatory way. "Me and Assassin talk already and him know how much mi rate mi father, but the man still go (talk about) dead parents pon the record. is like him run outta idea, or him get desperate, or something," Khago said. "Memba ah mi say Daddy From Yu Gone, and dem ting de, so him know how much my father's death hurt me, and yet him still ah try diss mi father inna him song. Dem say all is fair in love and war, but mi nah follow him. mi nah go dead parents wid this war."

Khago recently returned from a successful show in St Vincent featuring several artistes from the Eastern Caribbean and from St Vincent. Khago was the only Jamaican act on the show.

"It was a great experience with over 8,000 people cork up inna the venue, and I was surprised to see that my one-drop song, Take Me As I Am, is one of the biggest songs over there. It went No.1 on several charts over there. The crowd go wild fi Blood A Boil, Nah Sell Out, and dem love Tax Inna My World. Gal dash weh over de. mi haffi rename the island St. Kim-cent because the gal dem God sent," Khago said.

Khago recently performed his latest single, Pretty Wine, during the finals of the Dancing Dynamites show at Jamaica College on Sunday night.
