Accused held for hiding ganja spliffs in bread |

SHELDON WILLIAMS, Staff Reporter A woman who is accused of attempting to smuggle nine ganja spliffs into the Denham Town police lock-up by concealing the contraband inside a loaf of bread was taken into custody yesterday morning. The woman, who is from west Kingston, has since been charged with illegal possession of ganja and introducing contraband to a lock-up. Information reaching THE STAR suggests that about 10:16 a.m., the woman visited the lock-up with the intention to carry the bread to an incarcerated relative. The bread was searched and the ganja found. The woman is booked to appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on June 6. |
