SHELDON WILLIAMS, Staff Reporter

A woman who is accused of attempting to smuggle nine ganja spliffs into the Denham Town police lock-up by concealing the contraband inside a loaf of bread was taken into custody yesterday morning.

The woman, who is from west Kingston, has since been charged with illegal possession of ganja and introducing contraband to a lock-up.

Information reaching THE STAR suggests that about 10:16 a.m., the woman visited the lock-up with the intention to carry the bread to an incarcerated relative.

The bread was searched and the ganja found.
