Following the result of the post-mortem performed on the body of Senior Superintendent Dathan Henry, which proved inconclusive, the Major Investigation Task Force (MIT) has now taken over the investigation. In a release, the police said it is a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for them to investigate all cases of sudden death until the facts surrounding the cause of death are established. The release said the investigators are awaiting the result of a toxicology report on samples taken from SSP Henry's body. However, the MIT is continuing their probe into the circumstances that may have contributed to the death. SSP Henry died in hospital more than two weeks ago. The police are asking anyone with information that can assist with the investigation to contact Major Investigation Task Force at 922-5344 or 948-9181. |
