A post-mortem performed on the body of Reginald "Ned" Dennis of Stony Hill in Portland has revealed that he died from natural causes and not foul play as was earlier speculated. The post-mortem was performed on the man's body on Thursday afternoon. The body of the elderly man was reportedly found in a room at his house on May 14, which is also shared by another family member. According to the police, the findings of the post-mortem have completely exonerated the family member from any involvement in the death of the elderly man. The police also said that, contrary to popular belief, at no time during their investigation was the family member treated as a suspect into the death of the man. The Star also learned that the family member and Dennis enjoyed a good relationship. The family member was also Dennis' caregiver right up until the time of his death. Dennis, who is a former government worker, reportedly had a long-standing battle with diabetes, and at the time of his passing was visually impaired. |
