Accused remanded for assault

A man accused of beating up his girlfriend was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court after he could not produce an answer to a question that was asked by the resident magistrate.

He is Nimo Brown, charged with assault occasioning bodily harm

The court heard that Brown beat the complainant all over her body causing cuts and bruises.

Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey demanded to know why Brown did this. She repeatedly asked him what he had to say for himself but when an answer was not forthcoming, the RM had him remanded for him to think about what he had to say.

He is to return to court today.
