Just want to know if this child is mine

Corey Scott, a 28-year-old taxi operator from rural Jamaica, is eager to find out if the daughter brought into this world by 17-year-old Renae Chambersbelongs to him or his friend from the same area.

Having recently spent his hard-earned money at a hospital to do a blood sample test which yielded some not so promising results, he is steadfast in his desire to conduct an official and original paternity test.

Corey and Renae have been an item of some sorts since they officially met at a river in 2010. However, they are now both eager to do the test since they are at odds over the situation involving Renae's one-year-old daughter.

She said: I want the results to be anything it turns out to be because he is saying is not his child and I know it's his child.

He said: Mi really would want the results to say I am the father ... But a gut feeling tell me that is not the case.

She said: I would be satisfied to know that the baby is his because I know from before the test that it is his. If the test say he is not ... Then I don't know.

He said: If a my own I will continue to mine mi youth. If it's not my child, then maybe I would just leave her alone or she would have to return all mi money.

She said: The child is in his name and I have no doubts whatever ... A him have doubts.

He said: Well, I have doubts because of three things.

1. During our time together she was having sex with someone else.

2. I did a blood sample/type test di oda day at a hospital, but the doctor said I should go further as these test are not 100% accurate. The test showed that all three of us have different blood.

3. The other man she was involved with, I know him, his kids and this baby look alike ... . This breda have about five kids - all girls - and the child in question is also a girl.

She said: No one in my community knows of our situation; only my family members.

He said: Well, my friends and family know what's going on. It nuh loud up ina my community still.

She said: The baby resembles Corey's family. They have the same big bottom (like his mother), personality and they have the same type of hair.

He said: while laughing ... Every baby have pretty hair. I would more say the baby look like the youth mi a tell yuh bout and her (Renae) side of family.

She said: The baby look like him (Corey), and him friend dem tell him that all the while.

He said: Each time I look at the child I see the next youth and his kids how they all resemble. Mi spend one week in jail for this child. I have been through the courts for a year and odd 'til the case was thrown out with a 'No Evidence' submission.

She said: I did not report him to anybody. I had to tell the hospital who was the father before dem release me and the baby.

He said: At the end of the day, I been through a lot already, so I just need to know if this child is mine and we just take it from there.
