Allman/Woodford, a merger between two neighbouring communities - Allman Town and Woodford Park - are fitting winners of the Major League having won 18 of their 23 games with four draws and just one defeat. Allman/Woodford playing their home games at Heroes Circle, won 11 of their 12 games at home in a remarkable heroic unbeaten run. The champion scored 36 goals while conceding 11. It was a remarkable turn-a-around from last season where Allman/Woodford finished nearer to the bottom of the league with 23 points won by Greenwich Town on 42 points. Second-placed Police National who had a real battle with Allman/Woodford all season, blanked Bull Bay 3-0 courtesy of a brace from Craig Gayle in the 48th and 67th and Earon Benjamin's 61st minute strike. Police with their 17th win, moved to 53 points and consolidated second spot, three ahead of Shortwood United on 50 points. Maxfield Park wrapped up fourth spot with 41 points with a 1-0 win over the relegated Molynes United on six points. Fifth-placed Real Mona on 36 points, whipped New Kingston 6-2 with Jordon Moses and Stephon Plummer both grabbing a brace apiece. Khalil Johnson and Wilbourne Williams also got on the scoresheet. Cooreville Gardens also had a big win thrashing Meadforest 5-1 on the back of a Najair Brown double. Brown's Town are sixth on 34 points ahead of Bull Bay on 29 and Meadforest with 25 points. The game between Swallowfield and Pembroke Hall was not played. Pembroke Hall are ninth with 23 points ahead of Cooreville Gardens on 21. New Kingston in 11th spot on 12 points and Swallowfield on 10 points are in a keen relegation battle to see who will join Molynes United on six in a possible return of the Syd Bartlett League. Molynes host New Kingston while Swallowfield have the difficult trip to Police National. |
