Patrons get high on Jetlife 'flight' |

Hasani Walters, Star Writer
It was a packed aircraft that ascended from the runway on Saturday night as flight Jetlife, got under way in its almost five-hour journey. As the 'aircraft' taxied on the Club Privilege runway, the green and red lights littered the floor and a low roar of the engines could be heard. A lift-off brought with it a mighty roar of the engines as the aircraft climbed in altitude and passengers began to relax in anticipation of a smooth, safe flight. They were kept in a high-energy mood all night as the piloting duo of ZJ Chrome and Chromatic Sound took them through turbulent skies safely with dancehall, hip hop and rap songs. As the aircraft increased in altitude, the musical selections changed in genre, and whether it was in economy class or first class, all seemed to be enjoying themselves as Father Elephant had them dancing the night away. With the 'pilot' announcing that the aircraft had reached cruising altitude, a slew of dancehall songs had females wining with males close behind was delivered, but it was Vybz Kartel's Ramping Shop that seemed to have an euphoric effect as the females danced seductively with the males enjoying every minute. It caused Chromatic Sound to big up "di gyal dem weh thief piece pon a plane already". Hip hop and rap songs were well received, and as the flight began to wind down, coming to an end, it was a rather rough landing that took place as the pilots did not ease on the musical onslaught they were carrying out for the night. |
