The Jamaica Constabulary Force received 16 sport utility vehicles in a handing over ceremony at the commissioner's office, on Old Hope Road, Kingston 6, on Monday.

The motor vehicles were donated by the Tourism Enhancement Fund, which was represented by the deputy chairman Trevor Riley. Also present were Wykeham McNeill, minister of tourism and entertainment, Peter Bunting, minister of national security and Owen Ellington, commissioner of police.

The motor vehicles are to be deployed to the main tourist areas such as Negril, Montego Bay and the South Coast, and are expected to improve the mobility of police officers assigned to these areas.
