Cops recover stolen cash, nab robber
Quick action by police personnel assigned to offices at the National Commercial Bank (NCB) South Tower on Oxford Road in Kingston on Monday led to the recovery of $1.4 million and US$4,000 (J$348,000) and the arrest of one man after he attempted to rob a woman.

Information received is that about 9 a.m., the businesswoman was on her way to NCB with a lodgement when she was approached by a man who grabbed the bag containing the cash and ran across Old Hope Road. Police personnel based at the South Tower observed what was happening and quickly responded. The man was apprehended and the stolen cash recovered. He was then taken to the Half-Way Tree Police Station and charged.

Investigations continue.
