The case involving embattled deejay Vybz Kartel and Vanessa Bling was postponed in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Both artistes, who are charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice, are to return to court on August 29.

The trial was put off because their attorneys were absent. Kartel was remanded and his co-accused had her bail extended.

It is alleged that Vanesa Bling, whose real name is Vanessa Saddler, and Kartel, real name Adijah Palmer, conspired to falsify evidence in relation to the murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams.

Saddler was charged when she reported to the Constant Spring police that she had been robbed by Williams after Kartel was arrested for his murder.

Meanwhile, Kartel and four others are currently on trial in the High Court in relation to Williams' murder.
