Police appeal to licensed firearm holders |
The police are advising members of the public who are licensed firearm holders to desist from leaving their firearms in their vehicles when they visit beaches, supermarkets, shopping malls or other places to transact business in Portmore, St Catherine, and its environs.
In recent times, there has been an increase in which a number of vehicles have been reportedly broken into at these locations and the firearms removed. Licensed firearm holders are therefore being reminded to make arrangements with the local police to have their weapons safeguarded where necessary. |
