Andre' Majhail Williams, STAR Writer
Despite being a mother of five children, Inderia Ferron from Porus, Manchester, is today still beaming with joy after giving birth to her twins De-Andre and De-Andra Ferron on July 18, 2010. Today, the twins are one year and nine months and Ferron considers her bundle of joy a blessing from God. "It's a miracle!" she expressed to THE STAR Life & Times, as she was previously told by a local doctor that she had a large cyst growing on her womb which would likely prevent her from conceiving again. Ferron explained further that after being told by a local doctor that she could not have anymore children, it was not until she travelled to The Bahamas for work and visited a medical centre there that she found out that she was five months pregnant - with twins. She told THE STAR Life & Times that upon hearing the good news she journeyed back to Jamaica to be with the father, Donald Ferron. She explained, "My relationship was breaking away and the birth of our twins brought us right back together with more joy than rain". extremely helpful She also highlighted that the twins' father is extremely helpful saying, "I did a Caesarean section and I couldn't breast feed so the twins had to be on formula; so daddy had to be up and strong in assisting me with the twins. Daddy is the most wonderful dad in the world, he put dem to bed so that I could rest, and from time to time he would drive them around just to make them comfortable". Ferron noted that twin birth runs in her family and that a relative had given birth to three sets of twins prior to her twins. She disclosed that she was elated because she did not know she would be the one to birth twins as well. She told THE STAR Life & Times that De-Andre, her only boy of five children, was born first at 10:21 and is attached to his pillow, which she took with her to the interview and De-Andra, who was born at 10:22, is extremely protective of her twin sibling. When asked which of the twins bares her resemblance, she smiled and said none, adding, "The boy is a sharp resemblance of his dad and the girl looks like her grandmother". Ferron disclosed that she has no special plans for the twins as she considers them a miracle and that they are here for a special reason. "I wish the best for them and ask God to lead the way," she said. |
