Cavalier captured their third consecutive Jamaica Yellow Pages Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League title despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Barbican FC last Saturday.

The David Laylor-coached Cavalier moved to 47 points and are 10 points clear of second-placed Rae Town on 37 with only two games remaining.

Norman Bailey netted for Cavalier in the 26th minute before Shawn Lawes equalised for Barbican in the 48th minute.

Cavalier with an impressive record of 14 wins, five draws and only one defeat from 20 games, were always favourites to capture the Super League and that they did with a lot to spare.

Barbican with their fifth drawn game, are in third spot on 34 points and still harbour thoughts of finishing in the top two with games against Constant Spring and Rae Town remaining.

Meanwhile Constant Spring strengthened their chances of avoiding relegation with a crucial come-from-behind 2-1 win over Rae Town but remained in 11th place on 19 points.

Orane Sutherland had given Rae Town a 64th minute lead but two goals by Shaski Daley in the 80th and Dwayne Stewart with basically the last kick of the match in the 93rd minute gave Constant Spring a crucial win.

They are level with Santos (19 points) who scored an equally important come-from-behind 2-1 away win over August Town.

Sheldon Jones gave August Town an 18th minute lead but two goals in 12 minutes by Andre Moulton and Leon Gordon in the 67th and 79th minutes, respectively, propelled Santos to just their fifth win from 20 games. August Town are fourth on 33 points.

With last-placed Duhaney Park on 12 points relegated, the other relegation spot is not confined to Santos and Constant Spring as ninth-placed Rockfort who defeated UWI 3-0 and stayed just above the relegation zone on 20 points, are also in grave danger. Twaine Winter, Calvin Campbell and Ricardo Rowe were the scorers for Rockfort.

Santos host Rockfort in a gigantic clash next week then close against champions Cavalier. Rockfort will end their campaign against Olympic Gardens while Constant Spring are set to play Barbican and UWI.

Meanwhile Richard Stultz grabbed a hat-trick in the fourth, 31st and 89th minutes as Greenwich Town blanked Duhaney Park 3-0 to be on 28 points in sixth position.

Olympic Gardens and Mountain View battled to a goalless draw. Mountain View are fifth on 29 points ahead of UWI with 27 and Olympic Gardens on 26 in eighth.

KSAFA Major League

Meanwhile Allman/Woodford opened up a five-point lead atop the KSAFA Major League following their 2-1 win over Cooreville Gardens and Police National's 1-1 draw with Maxfield Park.

Allman/Woodford who lead the table on 49 points and with four games remaining, look set to capture their first hold on the Major League title.

Gary Lewis netted both goals for Allman/Woodford while Alwayne Danvers replied for Cooreville Gardens which remained in 10th spot on 15 points.

Second-placed Police National on 44 points could only muster a 1-1 draw with Maxfield Park and have a lot of catching up to do, if they harbour thoughts of overhauling the leader.

Earon Benjamin scored for Police in the 58th minute while Jovano James replied for Maxfield Park in the 38th as they stayed in fourth spot on 34 points.

Third-placed Shortwood remained in the three-team title race with a 2-0 win over cellar team Molynes United to be on 44 points, the same as Police National.

Molynes United which was losing their 14th of 17 matches, are odds on favourite to be relegated. They remained rooted at the bottom on five points.

Real Mona whipped Browns Town 3-0 and moved to 32 points in sixth spot, just one behind Browns Town on 33 in fifth.

Bull Bay beat Swallowfield 2-0 while Pembroke Hall and New Kingston drew 2-2. Swallowfield remained in the relegation zone in 12th spot on 10 points while Bull Bay are seventh on 26 points ahead of Pembroke Hall on 23 points.
