A woman accused of stealing five bottles of Hennessy from MegaMart pleaded not guilty to simple larceny and will go to trial on June 27.

The defendant, Elaine Watson, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

It is being alleged that on the day of the incident, Watson removed five bottles of the expensive alcoholic beverage from the shelves at the store and placed them in her handbag.

She attempted to leave the store with the loot but was unsuccessful.
