Pastor Irving James said it was a clear case of miracle why she is still alive after a massive boulder lodged a short distance from her dwelling house in Ferry district, St Catherine, during heavy rains on Sunday.

"Last night, I was at home with the family about 10 o'clock. We were discussing matters in the living room. Suddenly, I heard a loud bang close to the house and when I looked outside, I saw a stone almost as big as the house," James remarked.

She told THE STAR that being crippled by fright, she asked her son to investigate it and when he went closer, he realised that the large boulder had lodged precariously on a fowl coop in the yard.

This gave rise to further belief that it was indeed a miracle, according to James.

"Imagine, there are several goats in the area where the rock lodged and not one was hurt. Moreover, the kitchen is situated within an arms length of where it stopped. Can you imagine how frightening this is?" the minister asked.

Since the incident, James claims that her home is like a special attraction as persons in and outside the community have visited and expressed shock at what occurred, and told her how lucky she is to live to tell the tale.

When THE STAR visited the area, residents showed an area they believe the boulder came from.

"This really ticklish. Me cyaan believe it come so near the house and nobody no get hurt. We thankful still," remarked a resident.
