Representatives from the sponsors of Dancin' Dynamites showed their skills on Saturday's staging of the show at the Karl Hendrikson Auditorium, Jamaica College, in St Andrew.

The evening started off with upcoming artiste Nando trying hard to impress the audience. But he was stiff when compared to his flexible backup dancers.

Nonetheless, Iona High danced with a representative from THE STAR but the judges, Orville Hall and Kerry-Ann Henry, thought the routines needed to be cleaner. The Queen's School followed with sponsor Singer. Although their effort was described as a solid one, the judges said there was room for improvement.

Cumberland High danced with Coco Cola and did quite a bit of brand placement. Hall said, "One a di time mi neva know who a di sponsor. The routine shot, is a nine."

Clan Carthy High School's routine was done with Burger King. There were loud screams from the audience as the school performed.

"He (representative from Burger King) project, he didn't lose focus. I am pleased with the use of space and choreography. I give them a 10," Henry said. Hall also gave the group a perfect score.

Annotto Bay High School also did well. Dancing with an Adidas employee, they excited the audience as they fully utilised their props and performed well despite being blindfolded for a section of the routine. After entertaining the crowd, they got almost perfect scores from the judges.

After the performances from the schools, it was announced that The Queen's School had been eliminated.

Later, Endevarous danced with Supligen. Henry says she has been seeing growth but she thought it needed a surprise element.

Garrison Youth was very entertaining. So good was their performance that Hall walked to the stage where he shouted "dancers boom!"

"What can I say? The place was on fire. It's a 10," said Henry of the group that danced with LIME.

Although eliminated at the end of the show, Dustville gave a solid effort when they performed with an Exed representative. But UNT was full of energy when they danced with Butterkist. They were commended for the start of their routine but Hall said, "somewhere inna di middle, it tek a dip."

Black Eagles ended the night with title sponsor Charles Chocolate. They were referred to as the group to beat. "Everybody a shot after the eagle but it nah ketch di eagle none at all," Hall said.

Henry added, "You are really trying to come out of your comfort zone. Tighten it up and keep the surprise element high as well."
