Star Tell Me Pastor

I don't want a baby

Dear Pastor,

I am a young woman seeking your advice. You are the only person I could think of to help me. I have been with a guy for four years. Each time we have sex, he tries to get me pregnant but I don't want him to. I have seen birth-control pills that I would like to take.

Do you think I will be able to get them over the counter? Do you know the cost?

M.J.

Dear M.J.,

Your boyfriend and you are not communicating very well. If you do not want to get pregnant, you should tell him, then you wouldn't have to hide to purchase or take birth-control pills. A man should respect whatever decision a woman makes when it comes to wanting, or not wanting, to become pregnant.

It is never wise for a single woman to become pregnant for a man. So often, after some guys get their girlfriends pregnant, they leave them. Tell this man that after marriage you will be prepared to have a child with him.

Dear lady, if both of you are going to continue to have sex, may I suggest you go your gynaecologist and discuss the method of birth control you should use.

Pastor
