19-y-o found with throat slashed

Residents of Gregory Park, St Catherine, are fuming after one of their own was found dead with her throat slashed yesterday.

Natalie 'Chevelle' Pitterson, 19, was found dead at her Train Line Boulevard home in the community. The Gregory Park police say no motive nor suspect has been identified in connection with the incident.

Reports are that approximately 6:30 a.m., a family member went to call Pitterson and stumbled on her body laying on the floor. Family members said Pitterson, a former Jonathan Grant High School student, was employed to the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ).

Residents admitted Pitterson was a good person. "Whoever did this act should be punished cause she never deserve a death like this. We nuh know her as any worthless girl, she always hold her head high. As a matter of fact, anybody will tell you that she only move from work to home and vice-versa," one resident said.

Another resident said, "She was like the queen in her family as they held her high, she was going places. I can't believe this happen. It would appear as if she was trying to fight off her attacker because the place was ransacked."
