![]() Cavalier's Fabian Nethersole. Cavalier took another bold step toward retaining their Jamaica Yellow Pages KSAFA Super League title with a comfortable 3-1 away win over Constant Spring last Saturday. The prolific Fabian Nethersole grabbed a brace in the ninth and 36th minutes while Jeffrey Henry scored in the 76th minute propelling Cavalier to 46 points, nine ahead of second-place Rae Town with only three games remaining. The David Lalor-coached Cavalier are on the cusp of being crowned champion for the third-consecutive year needing just a point from three games and they look a safe bet to go against Barbican, UWI or Santos. Shane Franklin scored the consolation goal for Constant Spring in the 72nd as they stayed second from bottom in 11th spot on 16 points. Second-place Rae Town all but lost the slim chance of overhauling Cavalier after being held to a 2-2 draw by cellar team Duhaney Park at Breezy Castle. Rae Town remained in second spot on 37 points and will have to win their three remaining fixtures and hope that Cavalier lose all their games to win that elusive Super League title. An own goal in the 31st minute by Trevor Thorpe and Jermaine Fletcher in the 89th minute scored for Rae Town while Michael Tulloch and Leonard Gooden in the 65th and 77th minutes, respectively, replied for Duhaney Park who remained firmly at the bottom on 12 points. August Town stayed in third spot on 33 points despite crashing 2-0 to the much-improved University of the West Indies (UWI) for whom Shamori Granville netted twice in the 63rd and 88th minutes. The Neville 'Bertis' Bell-coached UWI are in sixth spot on 27 points after starting the season poorly and based on their recent run, could finish as high as third. Meanwhile, Leon Gordon scored a hat-trick for Santos in their 3-0 demolition of Mountain View. Gordon scored in the 12th, 57th and 67th minutes. Santos, with only their fourth win of the season, climbed above Constant Spring to be in 10th spot on 16 points. Mountain View, who were losing for the seventh time, remained in fifth place on 28 points behind Barbican on 32 whose game with Rockfort was not played because of a waterlogged field. Olympic Gardens defeated Greenwich Town 2-1 and leapfrogged them into seventh spot on goal difference. Both teams have 25 points. Marcus Morrison and Daron Holness scored for Olympic Gardens in the 22nd and 67th minutes, respectively, while David Stultz replied for Greenwich Town in the 76th minute. KSAFA Major League In the KSAFA Major League, Allman/ Woodford took a big step towards securing the title after edging their nearest rivals Police National 1-0. Greg Whitter netted the winner in the 63rd minute as Allman/Woodford moved to 46 points and are three clear of Police National on 43 points with five games remaining. Shortwood United remained in the title hunt in third spot on 41 points after whipping Bull Bay 5-0. Dexter Allen scored three goals and was backed up by Marlon Barnes with two strikes. Fourth-place Maxfield Park thrashed Pembroke Hall 4-1 and moved to 33 points with goals from Jovano James, Winston Lynch, Mark Malcolm and an own goal. Therones Watkins scored for Pembroke Hall.
