Popular selector Avatar claims that he has parted ways with his Westmoreland-based employer Black Blunt sound system after three years.

It is understood that the relationship between Avatar and his employer collapsed on the weekend as the selector felt he was grossly underpaid.

treated like a fool

Avatar, whose real name is Morton Gecomma Gammon, says he has had it with being treated like a fool, and revealed that he no longer wants to be associated with Black Blunt.

"I left because bossy wants me to turn worthless. When him a book all three dances for one night, I don't get pay for even one fully. Is always something small like a $2,000 here and there, and he's not someone you can call on for financial strength, if you in trouble," he continued.

"He has no respect towards the business either. I'm personally tired of him of using me because I put his sound too far to be treated like this," he added.

Avatar, who starred in Black Blunt's third-place finish during the recent Guinness Sounds of Greatness sound clash competition, said that he feels betrayed and exploited.

"I was one of the top performers from the competition. He saw it as an opportunity to make money off my name," Avatar said.

Avatar claims that he decided to go public with the matter because his character was being damaged during the process.

"It a damage my character significantly, cause people in Trelawny have it to say that Avatar a take money and don't show up for events," he said.

The selector said that he has turned a new leaf and is currently open to the best bid from anybody interested to employ him. He also mentioned that he will continue to take on dates, but only as an individual selector.

"I will still accept dates but as a special guest," he said.

indiscipline

Avatar also claimed that he has ventured into the music recording aspect of the industry and has already voiced songs like Lonely Zone and Genuwine for Mad Rebel Entertainment.

The STAR contacted the owner of Black Blunt, Ainsworth 'Fada Blunt' Smalling, and according him Avatar was merely suspended because of indiscipline.

"We had a programme that he was to follow and he did not follow the programme, and I placed him on a month suspension and that is the most I know," Fada Bunt said.

He also dispelled Avatar's claim that he was not paid his full salary.

"Avatar has a drinking problem and I try to curb it, when I send him to dance and he don't turn up, I have to give people back their money. Black Blunt made Avatar, Avatar did not make Black Blunt, we had a meeting and he said what he had to say and I said what I had to say and that was it. Avatar is not a businessman, he squanders his money," he said.

Efforts to contact Avatar for a follow-up comment were futile, according to Fada Blunt, Avatar lost his phone after the recently concluded World Clash.
