Man fined for hitting ex-girlfriend |

|
A man who pleaded guilty to hitting his former girlfriend in the face was fined $10,000, or six months, in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. Charged with assault occasioning bodily harm is Marlon Nelson. Nelson told the court that on the day of the incident, he and the complainant had a dispute. He said she had become arrogant and he had to restrain her to prevent her from going for a knife. It was during that restraining effort that she was slapped in the face, he said. |
