Has dancehall found its new power couple? Damian and Ophelia Beckett, more popularly known as Cham and O, have been dominating the airwaves with their hit singles Wine and Tun Up. Although fans are familiar with Cham, O is also steadily making her mark in the industry. According to Cham, O got her big break by sheer coincidence. "I was recording the song and myself and Dave Kelly wanted someone to do the hook as a demo so that I could send it to another artiste to record. When she did the hook, it was such a unique sound. Her vocal range and delivery is bright and fresh and that's why people gravitate to her," Cham told THE WEEKEND STAR. new singles

Cham says he is getting back to grassroots and getting the fans back in 'Team Cham' mode. O on the other hand, is preparing herself for the day when she will perform in front of a live audience. In the meantime, she is also focused on completing school and taking care of her two boys. Cham says fans can look out for him in Cayman, Barbados and St Vincent in the upcoming weeks. |
